NIH-funded POSTDOCTORAL POSITION available at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill to investigate the function of genes that regulate excitatory and inhibitory synapses in cortical circuits relevant to neurodevelopmental disorders. Projects focus on molecular mechanisms of semaphorin, ephrin, and adhesion molecule signaling using novel mouse genetic models. Training will involve advanced live imaging, molecular modeling, and protein-protein interactions. UNC offers a rich and interactive neuroscience research venue.
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. and background in neuroscience and molecular/cell biology or biochemistry.
